Our Story
When John Szwedkowicz first stepped into the trades, he brought along more than just tools. He brought a commitment to craftsmanship, integrity and lasting results. With 30 years in the construction and custom tile and stone world, John has worked on everything from fine woodworking and metal fabrication to high end mosaic tile and glass work.
Seeing a strong need in the Billings area for a boutique studio that paired designer tile, hands on design support, and expert installation under one roof, John founded Billings Tile Studio. His goal: to give both homeowners and contractors in the region access to a showroom experience they could trust with the added benefit of certified craftsmen installing the work.

Meet John
John came into the trades through construction. Over decades, he developed specialties in fine woodworking, metal fabrication and mosaic tile & glass work. Through that experience he came to believe that good design + good materials + expert installation made all the difference in any finished space. That belief led him to create Billings Tile Studio so that local clients could have access to the most amazing tile design and installation available in Billings.
When John isn’t helping on the floor or browsing new tile lines, you’ll likely find him driving local job sites, reviewing layouts with contractors, or in the showroom walking clients through sample boards and design options. He takes personal pride in every project that leaves the doors.
